IPS StoreOps

Retail execution services

ONE TEAM FOR EVERY STAGE OF STORE TRANSFORMATION.

From a focused overnight intervention to a full concept change or store closure, IPS StoreOps brings together the people, planning and on-site execution required to move a retail project forward.

Every scope is assessed individually around the store format, work volume, location, timing and mobilisation requirements.

Live-Store Refits

REFITS PLANNED AROUND THE NEXT TRADING DAY.

IPS StoreOps supports store refits while retail activity continues during the day. Our teams work after closing to reconfigure departments, move entire product universes, reshape aisle layouts, create new corners, replace fixtures and refill the sales floor as required.

Whether the project is a merchandising reset, a circulation change or a partial store modernisation, we build the intervention around the client’s target layout, available nights and operational priorities.

What we can rework

We can move departments from one area of the store to another, reposition aisles, create new customer pathways, install replacement fixtures and support the refill of the new layout.

Night work gives the team the space to handle stock and pallets efficiently, without interrupting the customer experience during normal trading hours.

Morning handback

By the next morning, the objective is a clean, organised and customer-accessible store environment. The agreed work area is secured for handback, packaging is managed as agreed, and shelf-label consistency is checked where included in the brief.

Customers should see a better-organised store — not the disruption required to create it.

02

Fixture Relocation & Installation

MOVE, RECONFIGURE OR REBUILD — WITH THE RIGHT METHOD FOR EACH FIXTURE.

In-store relocation

Most fixture relocation takes place within the same store. Before work starts, the IPS team lead assesses the fixture type, length, weight, condition and target position with the client’s designated contact.

Depending on the situation, a gondola may be moved in one piece, emptied and moved with appropriate handling equipment, dismantled and rebuilt, or separated into shorter sections before relocation. The method is chosen to protect the fixture, the products and the working environment.

Between-location transfer

Where a project requires fixtures to move between locations, IPS StoreOps can scope the full sequence: dismantling, palletising, loading, delivery coordination, unloading and reinstallation.

This is planned and priced separately with the client, according to the furniture, route and logistical requirements.

Installation and final check

Installation follows the client-approved layout and assembly instructions. The team sets out the location accurately, checks alignment and agreed site clearances, then cleans the completed work area before handback.

IPS StoreOps can provide a documented assembly check confirming that the team has completed its own installation review.

Existing furniture

When existing furniture is reused, its condition is assessed before work begins. If wear, damage or instability creates a concern, IPS StoreOps informs the client and records the issue.

If a fixture appears unsuitable for safe reinstallation, IPS StoreOps will not proceed until the risk has been addressed and the next step is agreed.

03

Merchandising & Store Filling

FROM PALLET TO SALES-READY SHELF.

Approved planogram

When the client provides an approved planogram, IPS StoreOps executes it in full — including fixture adjustment, shelf configuration, product placement, facings and agreed price-ticket work — subject to the required fixtures and components being available on site.

The goal is not simply to fill shelves. It is to deliver the agreed presentation standard consistently across the working area.

No planogram

When no planogram is available, IPS StoreOps works directly with the client’s designated decision-maker or store lead to understand priorities, product focus and preferred presentation.

We can propose practical merchandising options based on the store environment and agreed product priorities, then implement the approach chosen on site. Key decisions are captured in the progress reporting for clarity.

Full filling sequence

IPS StoreOps can manage the full sequence from available pallets to final presentation: unpacking, sorting, allocation by department, shelf filling, facing, carton management, agreed price-ticket preparation and final visual checks.

Where required, we can also organise top-stock or reserve-stock areas so the sales floor and back-up stock follow the agreed store logic.

Result

One coordinated intervention. One prepared sales floor. From stock arrival to a clean, filled and customer-ready store environment.

04

Multi-Site Rollouts

MULTI-SITE ROLLOUTS BUILT TO HOLD THE DATE.

Delivery model

IPS StoreOps coordinates multi-store retail programmes through a clear night-by-night delivery plan, dedicated team leads and teams trained across fixture work, filling and merchandising.

Each team is led by a person who knows the work, the people and the target outcome for that store. This flexibility allows IPS StoreOps to adapt resources on site without depending on one isolated specialist.

One programme, clear visibility

Each store follows its own planned sequence and daily targets. Clients receive visual progress updates through photos and video, with live video calls available when a remote review is useful.

This gives the client a practical view of progress across several locations without needing to be physically present at every store.

Detect early. Recover fast.

Team leads measure actual progress against the daily plan throughout the intervention. If a deviation appears, IPS StoreOps identifies the cause, agrees the priority with the client and applies the appropriate recovery action within the agreed scope.

The objective remains clear: protect the planned handback or opening date, while escalating any material change before it becomes a larger issue.

Operating model

We do not separate the work into isolated silos. Our teams can support fixture work, store filling and merchandising as the intervention requires — helping the operation maintain pace when priorities shift.

05

Full Store Concept Changes

A full concept change is more than a furniture move. IPS StoreOps can coordinate the complete in-store sequence: removal of existing fixtures, layout transformation, receiving and installation of new furniture, stock movement, shelf filling, price-ticket preparation, merchandising and agreed in-store communication.

The objective is a coherent new store environment, prepared for the next trading day.

06

Store Closure & Asset Recovery

When a store closes, IPS StoreOps can support the operational close-down: inventory preparation, packing, asset identification, fixture dismantling and shipment preparation.

We help clients leave the site organised, documented and ready for the next logistical step.

Next practical step.
